The Maine Department of Labor is offering a unique training opportunity that may be of interest to you! We partnered with Coursera, an on-line learning platform that sources over 3,800 classes from universities and businesses nationwide, to invite unemployed individuals as Learners on Coursera’s platform at no charge. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BECOMING A LEARNER, email your full name and email address to MaineDOL.CareerCenter@maine.gov with the subject line “Coursera Invite Request.” Once received, we will submit your name and email address to the Coursera learning platform – no other personal information is shared. You will then receive an email from Coursera inviting you to join the platform. From there, you can register for your choice of classes through September 30th, 2020. Learners will have until December 31st, 2020 to complete the classes and earn the free credentials.
