six-month, 50 percent figures at which an applicant may qualify as not a
family member are:
Metro: $2,140
Non-Metro: $2,040
Points of
clarification:
-
To qualify as "not a family member" an
applicant must meet but not exceed the annual HHS figure for one person.
The six-month, 50% figures are based on the LLSIL figures.
-
Individuals with disabilities are
automatically eligible for WIA as "not a family member" as long as their
income does not exceed the income level for a family with one member.
-
Not a family member" means the same as
"family of one", a phrase we no longer use.
-
Liveable wage is 185% of the HHS figure.
*
HHS refers to the Poverty Guidelines
prepared annually by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
